Mother pushes baby to safety seconds before huge concrete slab smashes onto her head

Shocking footage has shown a mum manage to push her baby to safety seconds before a flying concrete block crashed into her head.
CCTV caught the horrific moment the slab knocked the woman to the ground as she manoeuvred a pushchair with her young child inside.

The 31-year-old miraculously survived, but she was rushed to hospital in St Petersburg, Russia, with serious head injuries where she is believed to be in a grave condition.




The woman was hit after the concrete slab flew off a balcony as she pushed her child towards a door to a residential building on Yaroslav Gashek Street.

A split second earlier her baby had been placed in its pushchair directly in the spot where the block landed.

Police are investigating and are looking for witnesses to the incident.

A criminal case has been opened over suspicions the building had not been correctly maintained.
