Presidency reacts to planned nationwide protest on February 5th

The presidency has reacted to the February 5th proposed Nationwide protest which singer, 2face Idibia and other celebrities have come out to support.

Governor Okowa didn’t lose $10m to girlfriend, says Delta

The Delta State Government has distanced the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, from an online report claiming he defrauded the state of $10m, only to lose the money to an unnamed girlfriend living in the United States of America.

The money, it was reported, was part of the bailout given to the state by the Federal Government  to offset workers’ salaries.

President Trump fired his acting attorney general on Monday night after she defiantly refused to defend his executive order that has closed the nation’s borders to refugees and people from predominantly Muslim countries.

Nigeria's no1 polygamist with 97 wives dies in Niger state at 93

Alhaji Mohammed Masaba, a cleric who married over 90 wives, has died at the age of 93.

The controversial husband of 97 wives died on Saturday afternoon at his residence in Efu Nakodi after a brief illness.  His death was confirmed by his Personal Assistant, Alhaji Mutairu Salawudeen Bello on Saturday afternoon to journalists.

Iraqi family barred from flying to US from Cairo

An Iraqi family was barred from flying from Cairo to New York on Saturday after US President Donald Trump signed an order restricting arrivals from seven Muslim countries.

Draft Order shows Donald Trump plans to suspend issuing visas to citizens of 7 Muslim countries

A draft executive order obtained by The Associated Press shows that President Donald Trump intends to stop accepting Syrian refugees and will suspend the United States' broader refugee program for 120 days.

The president also plans to suspend issuing visas for people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen for at least 30 days, according to the draft. All are predominantly Muslim countries.

Trump is expected to sign the order this week. It is not clear whether the draft will be revised before then.

The actions follow Trump's orders Wednesday tightening immigration policies, including taking steps toward building a wall on the Mexican border.

As promised during his campaign,Donald Trump has ordered the start of his proposed border wall with Mexico.

In an interview with ABC today,the President claimed construction would start "within months" and Mexico would pay "100%" of the costs back, which experts say could cost up to $25 billion.Mexico has repeatedly said it will not pay for the wall.

A fast food worker who became upset with a drive-thru customer was arrested on a felony charge of "selling unwholesome bread or drink" after allegedly licking the cheese and placing menstrual blood on a cheeseburger before serving it at a Jack's restaurant in early January.

18-year-old Sky Samuel turned herself in and has been released on a $5,000 bond.
